My hubby and I are finally sharing our big news! We're going to become foster parents!

We are signed up to take our classes in August and after a home study and some preparations, we're hoping to have our first foster child in our home in early 2011- if not sooner!

This is something we have both felt that the Lord has put on our hearts, and we're anxious to share so much love with a new little person. We're planning to take children from 10months to 3 years old, but probably just one child at a time. We don't want to stretch ourselves too thin, we need to still be able to provide everything to our own children as well.

I know there will be times when watching them go will be hard, but I honestly don't think it could break my heart nearly as much as losing our precious Lila Grace.

Please say a prayer for us, I have a feeling this could be a sometimes scary, but mostly WONDERFUL experience!! :)

Thanks for visiting our blog. You may not see as many posts from us as you did in the beginning. This blog began with us detailing our horrid experiences with SIDS and the ways we found to cope. To (kind of) quote Wendi, SIDS is a big part of what shaped our lives, but it's not the only part- we have to continue to push forward and make the best of our lives.
